"DAME-Andrew J. Dame was born in Kentucky, 1825, and died from cruel treatment in Andersonville, Ga., Sept., 1864. Since 1852 he had been a member of the Church; entered the 86th Ind. Vols. 1862; and was captured in the Chicamauga battle. A fellow-prisoner speaks of his trust and triumph in death. He leaves a wife, two sons, and three daughters. He fell asleep-a Christian, patriot soldier-in Jesus. J.W. Hogan" (Author of the obituary was Methodist minister, Joseph W. Hogan)
