Sutherland Courier: — Last Sunday evening Aaron Bradstreet died at his home southeast of Sutherland, the cause of his death being cancer.
Aaron Bradstreet was born February 17, 1849 in Ulster county, New York He was married May 28, 1872, to Miss Azoa Arismandy. To this union was born three children — Grace Elizabeth, Francis A and Bessie May.
Mr Bradstreet and wife came to Iowa in 1876 and settled near Cherokee, where they resided until 1883, when they moved to the farm in Waterman township where they have since resided.
Mr Bradstreet joined the Methodist Episcopal church in 1890. He has been a trustee of the Hyland church since it was established. For the last nine months he has been a constant sufferer, but he bore it all with Christian fortitude and patience, saying he was only waiting. He came to the end of life's journey not alone. His constant comfort in his terrible suffering was was unswerving faith in God. He was a kind and loving husband and father and a good neighbor.
Tho funeral was held Tuesday at Hyland church, Rev H. B. Burnee preaching the sermon, and the remains were interred in Waterman cemetery.
