Helen Irene Tam, 100, a resident of the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, died at the home at 10:40 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 29, 1993).
Mrs. Tam was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Tri Kappa, Chautauqua Club, and Mu-Gam, all of Warren, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was born June 27, 1893, in Warren, a daughter of William and Emma McClure Bonifield. She married Merritt Tam March 15, 1916; her husband died Feb. 21, 1956.
Surviving are two sons, Robert W. Tam and Roger L. Tam, both of Elwood; three daughters, Mrs. Harmon (Margaret) Stech and Marry Emma Huffman, both of Warren, and Mrs. R. F. (Barbara) Krzmarzick, San Pedro, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home, Warren. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Memorial Home, with Rev. Jim Farrer and Rev. Howard Cress officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.
Preferred memorials are contributions to the scholarship fund of the First United Methodist Church of Warren.

Pallbearers were Phil Huffman, Jim Huffman, Paul Huffman, Nan Huffman, John Wearly and Jonathan Wearly.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.
Butler Funeral Home, Warren, was in charge of arrangements.
