Iona Ogan, daughter of Aaron and Sarah Margaret (Johnson) Eason, was born July 26, 1895, in Schuyler County, and died Friday, October 8, 1993, in Queen City at the age of 98 years.
She married John Harvey Ogan on March 21, 1944. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1968.
Also preceding her death were her parents; two brothers, Nulty Eason on July 1, 1991, and Reverdy Eason in infancy; and three sisters, Alvesta Collins on May 21, 1990, Lavanchia Eason on January 26, 1933, and Mary Helen Eason at the age of two years.
Surviving are one brother, Lee Eason, Queen City; two sisters, Frances George, Lancaster, and Eileen Graves, Lancaster; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was employed as a secretary in the Kansas City area form more than 20 years.
She was a member of the Christian Church.
Services were held Monday, October 11, 1993, in Norman Funeral Home, Lancaster, with the Rev. Roy West officiating. Music was provided by Maureen Watkins, organist, and Chad Tippett, soloist, special selections were "Beyond the Sunset" and "Abide with Me".
Burial was in Botts Cemetery, Meadville, Mo.
