From Boiling Springs notes of the Patriot newspaper (Harrisburg, PA), Feb 23, 1905 issue:
Boiling Springs, Feb. 22 -- The funeral of Mrs Sophia Wise, Springville, was held this morning at 10:30 from the home of her son in Boiling Springs. Rev Mr Byrd officiated, assisted by Rev Mr Clippinger, of near Mechanicsburg; Rev Z A Colestock of Mechanicsburg and Rev Mr Wagner of near Shippensburg. Four sons, George, Charles, Edward and Alfred Wise and two grandsons, Albert Wise and Clarence Lutz were the pallbearers.
Services were held in the old United Brethren Church at Springville. Interment was made in the Springville cemetery. The funeral was very largely attended.
