Amos C. Bigham, Birth- December 13, 1902 Death-November 27, 1981

Amos Bigham, 78, Fairfield RD 1, died Friday at Warner Hospital. He was the husband of Hazel Carbaugh Bigham. Born in Adams County, he was a son of the late John and Anna Eyler Bigham. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and was employed for 24 years at the former Adams County Novelty Company. He also worked most of his life as a carpenter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, James C., Fairfield RD 1; Richard A., Lake Heritage, Get¬tysburg, and James C. Bigham, Fairfield RD 1; two daughters, Charlotte B. Baker, Fairfield, and Pearl A. Staubs, New Oxford RD 3; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence, Gettysburg RD 8, and Russell Bigham, Gettysburg RD 6, and a sister, Alice Bollinger, Michael Manor, Gettysburg. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Revs. E. Edward Keyser and H. Frank Kipe officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.
