Born December 29, 1936 in Heber City, Utah to Lester and LaVon Howe Jones.

Married Jeanette Rex in the Logan Temple.

He loved hunting and backpacking with his horse in the wilderness areas of Montana. Active member LDS Church. Served LDS Mission to California 1957-1959 and also served in many other positions in the church.

Survived by children: Lisa and Nathan McClun, and Eric Jones, Logan; Lori and Ann Marie Jones, Kalispel; two grandchildren; parents of Heber City; sisters and brother: Marion Collard, Sandy; Robert Jones, St. George; Beth and Doug Murphy, Vernal; Karen and Steve Ridge, Midway.
