Annabella Man Dies Suddenly of Heart Attack

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Annabella ward chapel for James L. Christensen, 48, who died of a heart attack at his home in Annabella Sunday after having been ill two months.

Herbert F. Roberts of the ward bishopric presided at the services. Speakers were John Nordfors of the South Sevier stake presidency, Lewis W. Jones, president of the Sevier district board of education and Victor L. Jackson. The ward choir sang three numbers, "I Need Thee Every Hour," "Oh What Songs of the Heart," and "My Father Knows." Other musical numbers were a solo, "A Perfect Day," by Mrs. A. B. Robinson of Richfield, and a solo, "Face to Face," by W. S. Daniels. Mrs. Cleone Hawley acted as accompanist. The opening prayer was by C. D. Brown; the closing prayer by Albert Hooper.

Interment was in the Annabella cemetery. H. P. Christensen of Elsinore dedicated the grave.

Pallbearers were Arnold Brown, Eldred Nilsson, Lyman Mellor, Frank Emmitt, Myron Hanchett and Arthur C. Lundgreen.

A large number of relatives and friends came to Annabella to attend the funeral.

Mr. Christensen was born in Annabella, December 30, 1887 and had lived there all his life, engaging in farming and as janitor for the school building the past few years. He was an active member of the ward until recently. His wife preceded him in death three years. He is survived by eight children - Horace, Vernell, Reta, Vance, Leah, Farris, Wendell and Don Christensen, all of Annabella; and his mother, Mrs. Annie Christensen of Annabella and the following brothers and sisters: H. P. Christensen and Mrs. Lyman Mellor of Annabella and Mrs. Eldred Nilsson of Monroe.
