"The funeral service for Beulah I. Hanlon, 63, Shelton, will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McComb and Batstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Roland Huber officiating. Inurnment will follow in Shelton Memorial Park.


Mrs. Hanlon died Saturday at a Shelton convalescent center. She was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Shelton. She worked in the Shelton schools in the late 1940s. Later, she was chief deputy assessor for Mason County, then county assessor for three years before retiring in 1978.


She was a member of the Agate Grange, Washington State Association of County Assessors, and Washington Association of Elected County Officials.


Survivors include her husband, Max C. Hanlon of Shelton; three sons, Kenneth E. Olson of Shelton, Victor C. Satterfield of New Hampshire, and Chris Olson of Buckley; four brothers, Martin, Kenneth, Edward and Victor Auseth, all of Shelton; one sister, Hattie Fuller of Spokane; and nine grandchildren."
