Dorothy Jessup Dunnavant, 82, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 30, 2008. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, William Shepherd Dunnavant, Sr. Mrs. Dunnavant was a faithful member of Beulah United Methodist church for over sixty-two years. She enjoyed spending time reading God's Word and was an avid reader of mystery and suspense novels. She also greatly enjoyed feeding and watching birds around her many feeders. She was retired from Chesterfield County Schools.

She is survived by her son, William S. Dunnavant, Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary D. and Harold Lee Crowder, Jr., Linda D. and Stephen E. McDorman; sisters, Pauline Grissom, Mecy Leiser and Doris Delano; grandchildren, Andrew Crowder, Nicole Lowry and Hillary Crowder.
