Belle Bolick Sutton, 92, died Jan. 20, 2009, at Caremoor Retirement Center in Kannapolis.
She was born Nov. 25, 1916, in Campbell County, Ga., daughter of the late Sidney Rose Bolick and Sara Jane Ashe Moore.
Survivors include her brother, George Bolick and wife Margaret of Gastonia, J.C. Bolick and wife Pearl of Burlington, Sidney R. Bolick Jr. and wife Rachel of Coffeeville, Miss.; sister, Dorothy Griffin and husband James of Kannapolis; step-daughters: Jane Doyle of Kilmarnock, Va., Judy Tyson and husband George of Naples, Fla.; grandson, Henry Cooke Jr. and wife Lori of Wyckoff, N.J.; great-granddaughters, Becca, Morgan and Callie Cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Sutton; son, Henry Cooke Sr.; grandson, Michael Cooke; brothers, Fred and Hase Bolick; sister, Ella Mae Lankford;
stepfather, John G. Moore.
Belle was a former nursing home director and caregiver to many family members and worked with Cabarrus County Social Services as a caregiver. Belle was very kind to all who knew her. She had a big heart and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held noon Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Chapel, Bessemer City.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
