He was born in Rush County December 26, 1915, the son of the late Albert E & Ethel Kennedy Beckner. On April 26, 1941, he married Faye Webb, and she survives. He was a retired Rush County farmer and also was retired superintendent from the East Hill Shrine Mausoleum. Wayne worked for the Milroy School and drove a school bus many years. He was a Rushville High graduate and WWII Army veteran. He attended the Connersville Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife Faye, survivors include one son Leon; two daughters Charlene & Joyce; one sister Lamyra Steward; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Lloyd & Kenneth and one sister Norma Browning
A Celebration of Life will be 11 am Monday April 2, 2007 at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville. Burial will follow at Arlington, IN East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday one hour prior to the funeral.
