Kim Michael Hagen was born July 26, 1954 in Murray, Utah to Verne Collier Hagen and Dorothy Dorena Hunsaker Hagen.

He was surrounded by his immediate family when he passed away on January 21, 2009 at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah due to complications from surgery.

Kim graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1972. He served an LDS mission in England from 1973-1975. He married and later divorced Ruth Anne Wilson.

Kim worked as a firefighter and paramedic for many years. He loved the work and valued it long after he retired.

A prankster and spontaneous man, Kim made friends easily and was always teasing and joking with them. Despite Kim's many health issues, he overcame countless hurdles. He stubbornly pushed through despite all prognoses. Kim did everything with passion: playing games, going fishing, giving presents, and sharing random facts.

Kim is survived by siblings, Larry (Connie), Verne (Faye), Bruce (Devera), Allen, Kevin (Cathy), and Kathy; children, Steven, Richard (Tiffany), Marianne, and David; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church, 6770 South 500 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street on Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. and at the Church one hour before the services.

Interment: Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
