Dorothy Dorena Hagen passed away at her home November 24, 2005, surrounded by her family. Dorena was born in Heber City, Utah in 1923. Dorena lived her life as an example of righteousness as she loved and served her God, her family and her friends. Dorena's greatest joy has been her family, and after raising her six sons and one daughter, had her granddaughters Nikki and Alisha, live with her, and then her great grandson, Riley, who was her pride and joy the last 18 months of her life. Her joy can now be complete as she is reunited with her eternal companion, Verne. Dorena and Verne were married December 27, 1941; and later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dorena served as ward organist and, Relief Society President as well as many other callings. Dorena is survived by her children, Larry (Connie), Verne (Faye), Bruce (Devera), Allen (Crystal), Kevin (Kathie), Kim (Ruth), and Kathy Garner, and by 29 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; brother, Herman (Marge) Hunsaker; sister, June Richards. Preceded in death by husband; grandson, Robert Scott Hagen; brother-in-law, Dale Richards.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Stake Center, 1106 East 8055 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Sunday 6-8 p.m. or Monday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
