Linnie was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Fort Worth to William and Bertha Amyett, being the fifth of 10 wonderful children. She became an LVN in 1960, working in area hospitals such as Boulevard and the Veterans Hospital in Dallas. She finished her career at the Federal Corrections Institute in Fort Worth as a physician's assistant, retiring in August 1987. Linnie always worked very hard to make sure that her family was well taken care of. This world will not be as bright without her.
Linnie married Roy D. Nichols in Weatherford on Jan. 10, 1954, and together they raised five children.
The family wishes to express its thanks to all of her caregivers whom she appreciated so much.
Survivors: Daughter, Lezley Prahl and husband, Von, of The Woodlands; son, Cory Nichols and wife, Vicki, of Weatherford; daughter, Tracey Spartin and husband, Louis, of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada; daughter, Dina Edmonds of Fort Worth; son, Kevin Nichols and wife, Leslie, of Arlington; her adoring grandchildren, Collier and Olivia Nichols, Matti Kruse, Eric and Raleigh Prahl, Spencer and Elliot Edmonds, Lark Spartin, Kyler and Keaton Nichols, and Tom and Jared Dupree.
