Mrs. Patterson
Mrs. Ben (Ruth) Patterson, 60, of 1207 S. Vermilion St., Streator, died in St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley, about 2 a.m. today. she had been ill two days.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Monday at the Elias Funeral Chapel, Tonica, with the Rev. Theodore Kinne of the Lostant Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tonica.
Visitation will be at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Patterson was born July 13, 1906, in Tonica, daughter of Burt and Anna Quandt Phelps. She was married to Benjamin Patterson Dec. 8, 1926, in Ottawa.
She had lived in Lostant 25 years and for 15 years was supervisor-operator of the Farmers Mutual Telephone Company of Lostant. The family moved to Streator seven months ago.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Donald, of rural Tonica; her mother, Mrs. Anna Phelps of Tonica; four grandchildren; two brothers, Roy A. Phelps of Tonica and Erwin Phelps of Scapoose, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Harvey.
