Roy A. Phelps, 66, Tonica, died Sunday in St. Francis Hospital, Peoria.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Elias Funeral Chapel, Tonica, with the Rev. T. Wayne Biehl of Tonica United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Lostant.

Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral.

Mr. Phelps was born on Dec. 11, 1914, in Tonica, to Bert and Anna Quandt Phelps. He lived in Tonica all his life and on May 11, 1957, he married Doris Phillips in Lostant.

He worked as a dental technician at the Ottawa Dental Lab until his retirement in 1978. He served in the Army Medical Corps during World War II in Europe. = He was a member of the Tonica United Methodist Church, Tonica, Russel Zenor American Legion Post No. 260, the Illini Field Archers Club of Oglesby and the AARP.

Surviving are his wife; one brother, Irwin of Rowlins, Wyo.

He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
