Francis G. Parke, Ex-Postmaster Francis G. Parke, died at the residence of his son-in-law, H. J. Branson, on Sunday last. Mr. Parke at the time of his death was his 67th year, and few persons were more widely known throughout Chester County than he.

He was a brother of Brigadier General, John G. Parke, of the U.S. Army. He was postmaster in this borough under Presidents Grant, Hayes, Garfield and Arthur, and also for a short time under Cleveland. He was President of the Coatesville Opera House Company and Past Master of Coatesville Lodge, No. 564, F. & A. M.

Mr. Parke was twice married, both of his wives preceded him to the great beyond, and a daughter and two sons survive him: Mrs. H. J. Branson, of this borough, Andrew K. Parke, of Chicago, and Frank G. Parke, of San Francisco, Cal. His funeral took place on Thursday, and his remains were laid to rest with Masonic honors in the old Presbyterian burying ground.
