He was born January 17, 1954 in Gloversville, a son of the late William D. Cole Sr. and Addie Van Nostrand Cole.
Willie was employed at Lee Dye Co. in Johnstown and Gloversville.
He was a member of the Gloversville Fraternal order of Eagles.
Willie loved fishing, bowling, and pro wrestling, he also loved animals.
Survivors include his wife Elaine Van Hoesen Cole whom he married in 1982; one son Ben Cole of Johnstown; four brothers Robert Cole Sr. of Gloversville, Gerald K. Cole of Mississippi, Michael Teale and Francis J. Cole both of Gloversville; two sisters Clara Pike of Gloversville, and Michele Teale of South Carolina; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
Friends and family may call on Saturday from 12 (noon) to 2 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in his memory to the Fulton County S.P.C.A.
