A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Clement Baptist Church with Dr. James Dees, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Autry Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Autry was a native of Sampson County and the daughter of the late Dennis and Tempie McLamb Naylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Olive Autry; brother, Verlie Naylor; sister, Eva Lockerman. She was a member of Clement Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Autry is survived by: son, James Hurley Autry, of Autryville; two daughters, Clara Dell Autry, of Clinton and Doris Jackson, of Godwin; three sisters, Odell Daniels, of Fayetteville, Evelyn Turlington Polk, of Greensboro and Priscilla Owen, of Roseboro; two brothers, Gilbert Naylor, of Roseboro and Crafton Naylor, of Greensboro; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Monday night from 7-9 pm at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and at other times at the home of her daughter, Doris Jackson, 820 Old Wrench School Road, Godwin.
