William Clarence "Hank" Wilson

Funeral services for William Clarence "Hank" Wilson, 86, were held Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in the Mallorysville Baptist Church, Tignall, with Rev. Donnie Berry officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died Sunday, June 29, in Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Wilson was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late Claude Dewey Wilson and Sallie Mae Johnson Wilson. Before he retired he had owned and operated both a service station and a sawmill.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Anderson Wilson of Tignall; a son, Clarence Neal Wilson, and his wife Kelly, Tignall; Gail Wilson Thomas and her husband Jack, Franklin, N.C., Debby McCord and her husband, Charlie, Thomson, and Janet Aaron, of Tignall; two brothers, Gene Wilson and Julian Wilson, both of Tignall; three sisters, Eula Mae Jones, Cadley, Sara Edna Caldwell, Tignall, and Margaret Lee Peterman, Lexington; grandchildren, Craig Chapman, Rick McCord, Kristi Hobbs, Jamie Aaron, Abby Aaron, Keaton Wilson, Kirby Wilson, and Lynn Fulton; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Craig Chapman, Jamie Aaron, Andy Hobbs, Rick McCord, Keaton Wilson, and Chet Wilson. Nephews served as honorary pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mallorysville Baptist Church Building Fund, 199 Bunch Road, Tignall, GA 30668.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
