WILLIAMS RITES SET WEDNESDAY
Funeral services for Benjamin Williams, 66, Davenport, Iowa, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Norwood Funeral Chapel of Broken Bow, with the Rev. Harold Rogers officiating.

Burial will be in the Valley Cemetery near De Queen, Ark.

Williams died Sunday in Davenport. He was born Dec. 29, 1919 in Eagletown and was a timber faller and veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Alva, of the home; one son, Bill Williams of Anchorage, Alaska; five brothers, Wesley Williams, Alan Williams, Leslie Williams and Chester Williams, all of Eagletown, and Willard Williams of New Boston, Texas; two sisters, Gracie Couch of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Alvie Austin of Whittier, Calif; and three grandchildren.

Benjamin is the son of Benjamin Franklin and Addie Arminta Todd Williams. He grew up in Eagletown with several siblings connected below.

Serving in WWII, Ben enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1941 and served until 1945.

On 15 Dec 1945, he married Alva Augustine Capps in Sevier Co., Arkansas.

Benjamin is my 1st cousin, 1X removed. When I look at his photo I see so much of my own father Conley Leon Todd, Sr. They were 1st cousins and looked somewhat similar especially in attached photo. I can only wish I'd met Ben in person.
