Herman Radseck Died Within A Month After Wife

Herman August Radseck was born on, the 9th. day of February, 1857, at Treblin, Germany. His mother died when he was two years-old and he made his home with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Grahl. He attended the parish school at Treblin and was later confirmed.
In 1883 the deceased was married to Miss Emilia Groth. To this union thirteen children were born, of which number four preceded the parents in·death.
In the year, 1913, they came to the United States, settling in the vicinity of Glenn, where they purchased a farm and have since made their home.
On Feb. 7th., the wife of the departed, after a very trying siege of illness covering a period of over four months, passed to her eternal reward. This great and painfull loss Mr. Radseck bore with Chrisrtian fortitude, knowing that "We much through much tribulation enter into the kingddm of God." .
On March 5th, the deceased, following a short and serious illness of about three days, also was called to his heavenly home.
He is survived by six sons, three daughters, three daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, eighteen grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Radseck was a dutiful husband and a loving father. The sum of his life was 73 years, 26 days.
Funeral services were held from the home and from St. Paul's Lutheran church on Friday, March 7th., Rev. M. A. Haase offrciating. Interment was in the MeDowell cemetery, at the side of his wife.
