Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta V. Bramlet, 84, of 136 Barnett, Wood River, the last of a family of eight children, all of whom lived to be more than 80 years of age, and who Is survived by 72 lineal descendants, were conducted Monday at Eldorado, her former home.

Burial was in Wolf Creek cemetery.

Mrs. Bramlet died Saturday in an Alton hospital following an extended period of failing health.
She had resided In Wood River for the past five years with a daughter, Mrs. Eliza Allen. She
had been a patient in the hospital for four months following a fall in which she suffered a hip fracture.

Mrs. Bramlet was born in Eldorado, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerimah Elder. Her parents were among the early settlers in Eldorado and the town derived Its name from the family name of Elder.

Surviving Mrs. Bramlet are a son, William of Bethalto; five daughters, Mrs. Allen, Wood River; Mrs. Talltha Downey and Mrs. Naomi Gladson, Peoria; Mrs. Inez Owens, Texas, and Mrs. Lorene Hughes, Grand Tower, 111., 33 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren,
and one great-great-grandchild.
