Born 15 May 1767 in Newton, Middlesex County, MA to William and Hannah (Morse) Rowell. Graduated Dartmouth (A.M.) in 1794. Ordained pastor of Congregational Church at Cornish, NH on 24 Sept 1800. Dismissed 1 April 1828.
Married 15 Feb 1803 to Hannah Chase. Eleven children, many of them teachers, ministers and missionaries. Died Claremont, Sullivan County, NH 14 Nov 1842. (note - date is different from what the Grave Stone book has)
In addition to his children, its estimated that more than 40 of his church members became ministers or missionaries or wives of them]
