Residence Livingston, Livingston Parish; 25 year-old farmer.
Enlisted for 12 months' Service 7/7/1861 at Camp Moore, he was mustered into Captain J.S. Gardner's Company, 9th LA Infantry as a Private. (This Company subsequently was redesignated Company G, 9th Louisiana Infantry.)
Absent sick with measles 7/30-9/11/1861 C.S.A. General Hospital, Orange Court House, VA.
Present, Sept & Oct and Nov & Dec 1861 Rolls.
Sent to rear, sick 11/1861.

Died of typhoid fever in C.S.A. General Hospital at Culpeper Court House, VA.

The 9th Infantry Regiment was organized at Camp Moore, Louisiana, in May, 1861. Its companies were recruited in the following parishes: Rapides, Bossier, Bienville, DeSoto, Livingston, Jackson, Washington, Claiborne, East Carroll, and Madison.
