Nellie Holcomb Abernathy, 75, of 702 Lowland Dairy Road, formerly of Lincolnton, died Jan. 15, 2009, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Elmer and Rosetta Ogle Holcomb.
She was wife of the late Joseph Franklin Abernathy and was preceded in death by one daughter, Jodie Abernathy; one brother, Mike Holcomb and one sister, Betty Sue Holcomb.
Survivors include three sisters, Evelyn Nolen and husband Ed of Mount Holly, Hazel Ham and husband Johnny of Walhalla, S.C. and Earlene Miller of Millersville, Penn.
She was a member of Revival Tabernacle in Stanley.
