She was born March 25, 1912 in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Henry Taft and Selma Lundberg Benson. She and her brother Wesley Taft Benson (deceased) were raised in a loving home in Logan.

She graduated from Logan High School and later attended Utah State Agriculture College where she met her husband Clarence Aagard Anderson. They were married on October 5, 1935. Her husband's employment resulted in several Utah residences including Logan, Cedar City, and Salt Lake City.

She was a devoted lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in various church callings.

She was an excellent homemaker and cook, known far and wide for her famous homemade pies, no one baked a better pie, no matter what the variety. Her life was devoted to making a comfortable and happy life for her family. She loved to travel and was able to visit many countries and far away places.

Though she lived to an advanced age, she would have no part of growing old mentally. She always remained forever young at heart and maintained a positive upbeat attitude which was an example to all who knew her. She left a loving legacy that her family will cherish forever.
