Omer Bogan
Rossville
Omer Bogan, 85, died at 5 a.m. Sunday in his home at Rossville. He had been in ill health four years.
Mr. Bogan farmed west of Rossville for 42 years. He also was employed at Fairfield Manufacturing Co. in Lafayette for 20 years, retiring in 1969.
Born April 10, 1904, in Kirklin, he had resided in Rossville since June 1987, and formerly lived in the Beard community for several years. He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1925.
His marriage was to Bernice E. Sturgis, Dec. 18, 1926, and she survives.
He was a member of Rossville United Methodist Church and a 45-year member of Beard Masonic Lodge 641, F&AM.
Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Jacqueline) Smith of Muncie and Mrs. Jack (Jo) Shedron of Cloverdale.
