He was born Aug. 30, 1931, in Hawesville, KY., the son of the late Robert and Mabel (Patterson) Allgood.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a high lift operator for 19 years for the former Kaul Clay in Toronto. Thurman was a member of the Central United Methodist Church and a life member of VFW Post 5647.
Survivors include one son, Robert Allgood of Wellsville; three sisters, Clara Kruel and her husband Paul of Wellsville, Thelma Moore of Hammondsville, and Shelda Shannon and her husband Ernest of Hammondsville; one stepdaughter, Susan Meinhart and her husband John of Industry, PA; one stepson, Marty Holmes of Dripping Springs, TX; and one grandson, Brandon Glasure.
Allgood was preceded in death by two brothers: Clifton Allgood and Ralph Allgood.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main St. in Wellsville, with Rev. Robert S. Phillips, Jr. of the church officiating.
Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
