Mrs. Mattie C. Meador, 67, of Winnfield, died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 1970, at her home after a brief illness. She was a native of Joyce and a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter in law, Mrs. Barbara Meador of Canton, Ga.; one brother, Henry Cockerham of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Massey of Winnfield and Mrs. V. O. Kennedy of Sharon, Pa.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home here with the Rev. T. G. Cox officiating. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery near Joyce.
Pallbearers were Eddie Vallery, Esley Smith, Herman Barton, Roland Barton, Allen Massey, and Hardy Smith, Jr.
