Thelma M. McPherson
GREAT BEND — Thelma M. McPherson, 101, formerly of Salina, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, in Great Bend. She was born May 28, 1907, in Delphos. Thelma was a physical therapist assistant for the former Asbury Hospital, had been a receptionist for the Salina Senior Center and worked for the Saline County Commission on Aging. She was a member of the Saline County Historical Society and First United Methodist Church.
She married B.R. McPherson on Sept. 6, 1927. He preceded her in death in 1965. She is survived by her son, Brock and spouse Barbara McPherson, of Great Bend; four grandsons, Brad, Brit, Blair and Boyd McPherson; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at First United Methodist Church, Salina. Burial will be at noon Thursday in Delphos Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to McPherson Education Foundation. To send condolences, visit www.ryanmortuary.com.
