Adelard was a carpenter and stonecutter by trade. He was the son of Pierre Benoni Lafontaine & Agathe Lavallee)Lafontaine. He married(1) Ernestine Varin; married(2)her sister Exilda Varin.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs.Exilda(Varin) Lafontaine; two sons, William of Canada and Edmour of Oakland Beach, R.I.; one daughter Mrs. Edna Farmer of Seekonk; one brother, Adolphe of Chicopee; two sisters, Mrs. Roseanna LeBlanc and Mrs. Alphonsine Bouchard, both of Fitchburg.
The funeral was Thurs. AM. at 9 AM in St. Joseph's Church. The bearers were Arthur J. BEDARD, George W. LEBLANC, Neil BOUCHARD, J. Mark LEBLANC, Frederick ST.JEAN and Alexandre LAPRISE, all nephews of the deceased. (Actually,several - Arthur BEDARD, NEIL BOUCHARD and Alexandre LAPRISE) were husbands of Adelard's nieces. MHB)
