Mr. Rhoads was united in marriage to Evalina Perkins at Clay Center, Nebraska, September 10, 1894 and to this union five children were born, two of whom preceded him in death.
Mr. Rhoads was employed by the Burlington railroad for thirty-three years, retiring November 1, 1927.
During the past few years has been in poor health and the past three months had been bedfast.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, three children, Lloyd L. of Fremont, Nebraska, Orma R. of Edgar Nebraska, and Mrs.Harold Sutton of Superior, Nebraska. Two sisters and one brother also survive, Mrs.Bert Bricka of Superior, Mrs. Grace Starns of Compton, Calif. and Wilson Rhoads of Muskogee, Okla.
A daughter, Faye passed away October 10, 1903 and a son, Ray on June 12, 1939.
During his living residence here Mr. Rhoads has made many friends, who together with his family will greatly miss his presence here.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Trainmen.
Funeral services were held at the Zulauf-Denny funeral home, conducted by Rev. George Almond, Tuesday at 10 o'clock a.m.
Mrs. Raymond Ruth and Mrs.Oran King sang and were accompanied by Mrs. Howard Nicholson. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery.
