Victor Dona

ROCK SPRINGS Victor Dona, 84, of Rock Springs, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Sage View Care Center in Rock Springs after a short illness.

Dona was born May 4, 1919, in Cumberland, the son of John and Katherine Dona. He attended schools in Winton and graduated from Reliance High School with the class of 1936. He was employed as a coal miner from 1937 to 1954 and was employed with Questar as a gas dispatcher from 1954 until his retirement in 1980.

On Nov. 26, 1940, he married Murla Daniels in Green River.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

His interest was his family.

He is survived by his wife, Murla Dona; one son, Norm Dona and wife Sherry; one daughter, Dana Dona, all of Rock Springs; one brother, Ben Dona of Benton, Ill.; one sister, Irene Morford and husband Norman of Early, Texas; two grandchildren, Stacey Dona of Salt Lake City and Kelli Dona of Sioux Falls, S.D.; several cousins; and three nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katherine Dona.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, and one hour prior to services on Thursday.

Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Rock Springs.
