After Emeline's death, he married Dora Dell Landers Majors on 22 March 1899. They were the parents of William Fredrick, Roosevelt, Simmie Harris, James Morrow, Barbary Edith, & Frances Arkye. Benjamin was a Mason and a Justice of the Peace. He was called "Judge" Sheffield by many people.
