William Fredrick "Bill" Sheffield was born in Guion, Izard County, AR. He married Eather Alma Bobbitt on Feb 15, 1920, in Jackson County, AR. They had 3 children: an infant buried in the old Guion Cem., Junior "J.C." Sheffield, & Billy E. Sheffield. Each year Bill & Eather made trips back to Arkansas to visit their siblings & their families. If a family member became ill or died, they were among the first to arrive to offer their help.
They were living in Guion in 1929 when the town was almost totally destroyed by a tornado. Uncle Bill told lots of stories about the tornado. They were wonderful people.
