The son of CAPT. JOSEPH & KESIAH (PEABODY) KINNE, he married BETHIAH KIMBALL on November 12, 1743 in Preston, Conn.

He was a private in the 8th Company under Capt. Joseph Jewett, 8th Reg. under Col. Jedediah Huntington. From Feb. 1776 to April, 1777 he served as Captain in John Ripley's Command in Rhode Island. He was chosen in a town meeting to raise a quota of soldiers.

They had a son Joseph (1748-1773). He was born Jun 27 1748 in Preston, New London, CT.
