St. Augusta Woman Dead
Mrs. Elizabeth Dirks passes away at home of son in St. Augusta.
Resided in this section for half a century-funeral Wednesday.
Mrs. Elizabeth Dirks, age 77 years, died yesterday at the home of her son Theodore Dirks in St. Augusta (Lynden Township). She has been ill for the past 13 weeks and complications due to old age was the cause of death.
Deceased was one of the pioneer residents in this section and was well known. She was born in St. Rosa, Ohio, and came to Minnesota with her husband a half a century ago. They settled on a farm in St. Augusta (Actually Lynden)Township, now operated by a son, Theodore.
Mr. Dirks died 14 years ago and since that time she has made her home with her son.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Witschen of the city, and Mrs. Elizabeth Henkemeyer of St. Augusta, and two sons, Theodore of St. Augusta, and Benjamin of Watab. Also 16 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at 930 from the Catholic Church at St. Augusta. Pallbearers will be Christ Gohman, Henry Gohman, Joseph Moeller, Steven Kieke, Martin Evers men, and Joseph Klaverkamp.
