Unfortunately, there have been some ill-informed mergings of data for the two Ruths, due to confusion with names and (apparent) close proximity of birth dates.
Ancestry.com data files (Millennium File about Ruth Wheeler, and Family Data Collection - Individual Records about Ruth Wheeler) present a "Mash-up" of the two Ruths. The 1665 marriage of Samuel Hartwell to Ruth Wheeler (daughter of George) is INCORRECTLY assigned to Ruth Wheeler, daughter of Obadiah.
