Mr. Coldren was born Nov. 26, 1890, in Miami County to Daniel and Martha (Doles) Coldren. He married Chloe Thomas in 1923 in Cassopolix, MI. She survives.
Mr. Coldren was a resident of Richvalley for 48 years and was owner-operator of the Coldren Trucking Co. He was a member of the Richvalley United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are four sons: Dean, Walter Jr., J.D., and Claude Coldren; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Bridegroom and Mrs. Marie Seiple; 17 grandchldren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
