Capt. Aaron Cornett, 67, Bradenton, died July 25, 2004. He was born April 22, 1937, in Panco, Ky., and came to Manatee County in 1974 from Hamilton, Ohio. He retired as a ship captain for the Merchant Marines after 26 years. He was a life member and former chaplain for DAV Chapter 18 in Bradenton. He served in the Air Force. He was a member of Community Church of God in Bradenton. Survivors include his wife, Mildred M.; sons William A. of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, Michael A. of Heath, Ohio, and Ronald A. of North Port; a stepson, Richard L. Warnock of Melbourne; sisters Brenda C. Robinson of Hamilton and Juanita Grau of Batavia, Ohio; brothers T.J. of Batavia and David W. of Hamilton; and six grandchildren. The visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, with a service to follow, at Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 26th Street Chapel. Burial with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Memorial donations may be made to Community Church of God, 1003 63rd Ave. E., Bradenton, FL 34203.
