Mrs. Sarah Mae Dorsett, 81, of 433 South McArthur Street in Macomb, died at 7:00 Sunday night at St. Francis Hospital. Her demise was from heart failure, the heart condition having developed after she fell on a sidewalk at her home May 4 and fractured her hip. Coroner Vernett Roberts conducted an inquiry.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon at the Clugston Funeral Home in Macomb, the Rev. R.C. Calderwood officiating, and burial was made in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Dorsett, daughter of John and Lucinda Willey Curtis, was born in Brooklyn Township, Schuyler County, Illinois on March 12, 1868. All of her life was spent in Schuyler and McDonough counties, and she lived in Macomb for 42 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the W.C.T.U.

On February 9, 1899 she married C.A. Dorsett, who survives with a son, Delbert of Macomb and a grandson, Jackie. A son, Clell, died in infancy, and the following brothers are deceased: Homer, Marion, Arthur, Henry, and Charles Curtis. Sisters who are deceased: Mrs. Margaret Dark, Mrs. Belle Leas, Mrs. Hattie Vance, a half-sister, Mrs. Amanda Webster.

Mrs. Dorsett is an aunt of Mrs. Mae Heaney of Augusta.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Phillip and Ralph, Mrs. Sterling Alexander and Phillip and Mrs. Evaline Cashman, were in Macomb on Wednesday to attend the funeral services of their cousin, Mrs. Dorsett.
