Laura was born on May 7, 1921, to Nils Joseph Ahlberg and Lillie Otelia Johnson in Murray, Utah. She lived in Murray all her life. On September 21, 1942, she married Frank Albert Johnson in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised a family of four sons and two daughters. Her beloved husband passed away at the young age of 50 leaving her a widow for the past 33 years. At last they are together again.
Survivors include her children, Dennis F. (Madelyn), Sylvia (Dennis) Hamblin, Laurel (Benjamin) Bean, P. Andrew (Sharon), Corey V. (Tamera), Jon T. (Lanette); brother, Joseph Dale Ahlberg (Sina); 28 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren (with one on the way). She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Maurine Ahlberg Davies; and grandson, Drew D. Hamblin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at the Murray 16th Ward, 619 West 5750 South. Friends and family may call on Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, and at the church one hour prior to the funeral services.
