The subjects mentioned above were married by an uncle of Jacob C. Banghart, the renowned Rev. George Banghart -- one of the first intinerant preachers of the Methodist Church - -- who was largely responsible for establishing Methodism in Northern New Jersey . He was a half-brother of Jacob C. Banghart's farther, Michael Banghart, Jr. It is not known exactly the year that he left New Jersey, but it is known that he acted as power-of-attorney for mother of the heirs who already lived out of the state of April 3, 1847 - at the settlement of his father's estate. His wife, Sarah, was formerly of Knowleton Township, N.J.

The Petition of Commons Banghart who is above the age of twenty-one years and upwards, of the County of Shiawassee respectfully shows:
That Adaline Banghart late of Owosso in said County of Shiawassee departed this life in said township the 26th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty three leaving a last Will and Testament, as your petitioner is informed and verily believes
That deceased was, at her death, an inhabitant of the Town of Owosso said County of Shiawassee and she was possessed of Real and Estate, situate and being in the County of Shiawassee and elsewhere, to be administered, and the estimated value thereof is the sum of Three Thousand Dollars or thereabouts, as your petitioner is informed and verily believes
And your Petitioner further shows that the names and residence of the heirs at law of said deceased, and other persons interested in her estate, are as follows:

At a Session of the Probate Court for said County of Shiawassee, holden at the Probate Office, in the City of Owasso on Monday the 14th day of May A.D. 1883.

In the Matter of Proving the Last Will and Testament of Adaline Banghart, late of said County, deceased,
Now comes Philip Lomason, who, being duly sworn and examined as a witness on behalf of petitioner, to prove said Will and Testament, says that he resides in the Township of of Avon, in the County of Oakland and State of Michigan, that he was acquainted with Adaline Banghart late of the Township of Owosso in the County of Shiawassee and state of Michigan, deceased, in her lifetime; that the said Adaline Banghart, at the time of, and for Twelve Years immediately previous to her death, was a resident of Owosso aforesaid; that said Adaline Banghart departed this life in the Town of Owosso; on or about the Twenty Sixth day of March, A.D. 1883, that she, the said Philip Lomason is one of the subscribing witnesses to the instrument now on file in this Court, and now shown to him purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of the said Adaline Banghart that on the November or December A.D. 1877 in the Village of Rochester, in the County of Oakland and State of Michigan he, the said Philip Lomason saw the said Adaline Banghart sign and seal the said instrument; that the said instrument was signed and sealed in the presence of Sarah Jane Lomason the other witness thereto, that the said Adaline Banghart then and there, in the presence of him, the said Philip Lomason and in the presence of Sarah Jane Lomason published and declared the said instrument to be her Last Will and Testament; that the said Adaline Banghart then and there requested him, the said Philip Lomason and Sarah Jane Lomason did thereupon, then and there, in the presence of the said Adaline Banghart and in the presence of each other, subscribed their names to said instrument, as witnesses thereto.
And the said Philip Lomason further says, that the said Adaline Banghart at the time she signed, sealed, published and declared the said instrument as aforesaid, was above the age of twenty-one years, and, according to the discernment and belief of him, the said Philip Lomason, of sound mind, and under no restraint whatever.

In the Matter of the Estate of Adaline Banghart Deceased.
This day having been assigned by the Court for hearing the petition of Commons Banghart praying amongst other things, for the Probate of the Instrument heretofore filed in this Court, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of said deceased. Now comes the said petitioner.

And it appearing to the Court by due proof on file, that a copy of the order of this Court, touching the hearing of said petition, made on the 14th day of April last past, has been duly published as therein directed, whereby all parties interested in the premises, were duly notified of said hearing.
And no person appearing in Court to contest the probate of said Instrument and
Whereupon, Philip Lomason one of the subscribing witnesses to said instrument appeared in Court, and made oath that he saw the said Adaline Banghart at the Village of Rochester in said County of Oakland sign, seal and her her publish and declare the said instrument to be her last Will and Testament, and that he the said Philip Lomason and Sarah Jane Lomason and C. S. Taylor are the subscribing witnesses, at the same time, attested the same, and subscribed their names as witnesses thereto, in the presence of each other, and of said testator and at her request, and that she was then, according to the discernment of said Philip Lomason of same mind.
And it Further Appearing that said Adaline Banghart last dwelt and had her residence in, and was an inhabitant of the Township of Owosso in said County, and therein died.
And the evidence touching the premise being maturely considered; it satisfactorily appears to this Court, that said instrument is duly proved, and ought to be allowed as the last Will and Testament of said deceased.
It is Therefore Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed, by this Court that said Instrument be approved, allowed, established and have full force and effect, as the last Will and Testament of said deceased; and that the same be recorded as required by law.
And It Is Further Ordered, that the execution of said Will be committed, and the administration of the Estate of said deceased be granted to said Common Banghart with Will annexed and Letters Testamentary do issue in the premises.

Taylor are the subscribing witnesses, at the same time, attested the same, and subscribed their names as witnesses thereto, in the presence of each other, and of said testator and at her request, and that she was then, according to the discernment of said Philip Lomason of same mind.
And it Further Appearing that said Adaline Banghart last dwelt and had her residence in, and was an inhabitant of the Township of Owosso in said County, and therein died.
And the evidence touching the premise being maturely considered; it satisfactorily appears to this Court, that said instrument is duly proved, and ought to be allowed as the last Will and Testament of said deceased.
It is Therefore Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed, by this Court that said Instrument be approved, allowed, established and have full force and effect, as the last Will and Testament of said deceased; and that the same be recorded as required by law.
And It Is Further Ordered, that the execution of said Will be committed, and the administration of the Estate of said deceased be granted to said Common Banghart with Will annexed and Letters Testamentary do issue in the premises.
