Woodrow Thomas Anson, Jr., 61, Seminole, died Sunday at a local hospital.

He was born in Holdenville to Woodrow Thomas Sr., and Ella Irene Anson on September 25, 1937. He married Mary Beatrice Roberts in Seminole on January 14, 1956. He was self-employed and a member of First Baptist Church, Bowlegs.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1995 and his son, Anthony Gene "Tony" Anson in 1987.

Survivors include his mother, Seminole, his wife of the home, three sons, Gregory Thomas Anson, Seminole, James Kenneth Anson, Tecumseh and Steven Randal Anson, Tecumseh; daughters, Gidget Tilley, Seminole and Connie Ann Robertson, Lawton, brothers, David Harold Anson, Hartshorne and Charles Lee Anson, Seminole, sisters Phyllis Barrett, Seminole and Elizabeth Brooks, Wetumka, eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Bowlegs, with the Rev. Jason Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Seminole. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
