WILLIAM FORD;
William Richard Ford (Bill Dick) age 45, R.F.D. Arcadia, Florida died Jan. 1, 1969 in the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was born in DeSoto County, Florida on March 7, 1923 and had lived in Arcadia all his life.
He attended the DeSoto County Schools and was a member of the Church of God. He was a ranch hand until and injury to his hip a year ago.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Wilton Ford of Arcadia, seven children, Patricia Ford, Glenda Ford, Ricky Ford, Florence Anna Ford, Ray Ford, Jeri Rena Ford, and Roy Alderman all of Arcadia; two brothers, Fred Ford of Jupiter, Fla., Lawrence E Ford, Arcadia; eight sisters, Mrs. Mary Godfrey, Mrs. Betty DeLuca and Mrs. Lucile Grant, Arcadia, Mrs. Catherine Duncan, Parrish, Fla., Mrs. ClydeMr Sims, Merrit Island, Fla., Mrs. Minnie Carter, Mrs. Florence Albritton and Mrs. Hubert Albritton, Arcadia.
Funeral services were held Saturday Jan. 4, 1969 at 3:00 p.m. from the Arcadia Church of God with the Rev. D.L. Franklin officiating, with burial in Joshua Creek Cemetery.
Tom Rimes, Mack Carver, Jerry Ford, Ray Ford, Richard Ford, Gordon Ford all nephews served as pallbearers, with Robarts-Grady Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
