Henry Eaves, Sr., age 85, of Southfield, Michigan, entered into rest July 17th, 2005, at his home.
Henry was born April 4, 1920, to Henry and Ruby Hooks Eaves in Louisville, Mississippi. He attended McLeod School in Winston County. He joined the CCC Camp at age 16, serving in Tennessee and other states.
He was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Germany during WWII.
He retired from Chrysler Corporation after many years and made his home in Southfield, Michigan, with his wife, Eula Giles, who preceded him in death on September 16, 2004. He was preceded in death also by a sister, Mildred Eaves Arnett of Brandon, Mississippi; a brother, Welton Ferrell Eaves of Baltimore, Maryland.
Henry was survived by a loving son, Henry Eaves, Jr.; a daughter Gwendolyn (husband, Joseph) Brickey; three grandchildren, Joshua (wife, Diana) Millar, Matthew (wife, Tracy) Millar, and Courtney Eaves; and one great-granddaughter, Clara Millar.
He was also survived by three sisters, Jean Nall of Clinton, Mississippi, Peggy Cockrell, Louisville, Mississippi, Jackie Bunch of Durham, North Carolina and a brother, Harry Boyd Eaves of Louisville, Mississippi.
Mass of Christian Burial: St. Michael Catholic Church in Southfield.
