Kenneth M. Huffman was born September 12, 1913 in the town of Rockbridge, the son of Amos and Hazel (Moore) Huffman, and passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the age of 94. He farmed in the town of Akan his entire life. He loved his horses and competing in horse pulling events. Kenneth was united in marriage with Madeline Eaton on July 25, 1933. They celebrated 53 years of marriage before her passing on October 21, 1986. Two children were born to this union: Joan (Bruce) Clarke and Garry Huffman (deceased). He later married Arlie Olson on November 26, 1988 and she preceded him in death on December 7, 1994. Kenneth was a member of Five Points Lutheran Church. In his later years he enjoyed making rosettes for the Lutefisk dinner at church, and sharing them with his friends, as well.
In addition to his daughter, survivors include six grandchildren: Dana (Sharon) Drake DeLon (Julie) Drake Kirk, Kerry, Kevin and Kreg (Dempsey) Huffman several great grandchildren two great great grandchildren
his step daughter Dorene (Don) Imhoff step granddaughter Deon Imhoff.
three sisters: Bertha Coppernoll, Ruby Johnson and Mable Jean (Arnie) Sherry and many friends and relatives who will miss him greatly.
Kenneth was further preceded in death by his sister Lorraine Pautsch; and brothers: Clarence, James and Keith Huffman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the FIVE POINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH. Pastor Larry Engel officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
