Palestine G. Scott married Louisa Inman in Burleson County in 1847.and they had some eleven children. When the Civil War broke out he enlisted in the force of the Confederacy and served throughout the war. He died in 1892. His widow later drew a pension from the Sate of Texas based on his Civil War record. She died at China Springs in McLennon County at the home of her daughter Martha (Mrs. Pink Ivy).
